"Initially I put off joining a grief support group because I have a good support system in general and I thought my friends and family would get me through it. Eventually I realized that I still felt very alone in my grief, and that I was cutting myself off from the world-even God. The pain of losing my mom was so intense and I didn’t want to go on. A friend finally convinced me to join Griefshare and I am so glad I did. It was such a comfort to have a set time each week where I knew I could open up and be fully transparent about my grief and be supported by people who understood what I was going through. Grief share helped me bring on my journey of healing in the sight of my grief. Healing is a daily process, but I definitely feel better coming out than I did going in. I would suggest going through a round or two of grief share to help on your healing journey.
